Me! If its fully rigid, has thumbies and 18 speeds then its in the makster book of retro. The forum line is that pre 1997 is retro. I'd lived the best part of my life way before 1997 though, so that doesn't wash with me

The forum line is that pre 1997 is retro.

So anything older than 12 years is considered retro then.

On the Retrogamer forum it's anything older than 10 years and no longer in production.
