Smoke 'n Smoke or Smoke 'n Dart?

A few like to run 2 smoke's, think the extra grip on the side walls of the smoke make it feel a little more planted on the front, personally I like to run smoke/dart. looks better 8)

For those that want to be period specific, IIRC the smoke was released first in '90, then the dart in '92, so any bike between '90 and '92 would have smoke front and rear.

Re:

I prefer smoke/ Dart, but smoke/ smoke is fine, and you can swap the tyres front/back when the rear begins to wear, which is handy.

Re:

Depends on the conditions...in the mud the Dart is a bit shit on the front and the Smoke offers better grip...However the Smoke is a generally a draggy tyre.

smoke/smoke for me, always found the dart to be...well carp in all conditions. Zero grip in mud, sketchy as in hardpak/gravel, only use was in soft dirt and about 30% as good as having a smoke on the front. Best bet is smoke front, smoke lite on the rear.

I did not know that, thought they were released at the same time, every days a school day.
BITD I ran an Onza Porc up front & smoke on the rear.

As for the thread topic, smoke & smoke 8)
