Hi all,

I'm on the look out for a small mtb for my son, he is only 7 but is a big 7, he has been riding a 20" wheel bike with 6 speed gripshift but now needs to step up to more gears and maybe front suspension.

Only looking for a cheap bike as not sure how he will go with the size. I missed out on a 14"lavadome a couple of weeks ago that went for £50 that I think would of done the trick.

Has anyone got anything that might do the job?

Cheers.

Re:

I've got a 24/7 jump bike frame, quite an old one, V brake only and will take 24" or 26" wheels. Is single speed drop outs but there's a gear hanger with it, BB converter cups so will take a MTB ordinary BB.... Big BMX really!

Anyway, I had it as a complete bike, sold the frame a good while ago and then ended up with it back! Can get you pics tomorrow. Includes a post and clamp, would be looking for about £30 posted for it. Steel mind, so it's quite a lump, but it did used to ride really nicely and was a lot of fun.

Hi, Many thanks for your response but am really looking for a built bike that he can use now.

Appreciate the reply though. :)

No prob, need to sort frame and get it up for sale anyway. Good luck with finding what you want for him, there are a few decent bikes about, my nephew had an Islabike and a Trek at various stages with the smaller frame/wheel size and they were good bikes secondhand :D
