I always fancied a GT road frame and one came up locally. I knew the frame was small but the seat tube, centre to top, is about the same as my bike with compact geometry so I bought it anyway.
The top tube is way too short and I would have had to use a long stem to get it anywhere near comfortable so I've decided not to bother.
I'm still after a frame and forks around the 60cm mark in steel or aluminium - I'm pretty open minded as long as it's a decent quality frame.
I'm not 100% sure of the exact model - the frame and forks are both aluminium and I believe they date from the 90s.
The measurements are... Seat tube, c to c - 51.5cm. Seat tube, c to top - 57.5cm. Top tube, c to c - 53.5cm. Rear spacing is 130mm.
The f&f are good structurally but the paint has various scratches and chips - mostly on the top tube and where the front mech used to be. There are no dents or bends etc. The BB has been faced for use with external BB's
Like I say, I have all the gear ready to go on a decent frame and want rid of this one so I thought I'd offer it up for swaps and kill two birds with one stone...
