SKYE / BEN NEVIS

Two easter suggestions (dates tbc) both involving weekend on Skye or routes near Ben Nevis. Apparently I'm meant to be researching this

Skye I know nothing about, cycling-wise, but know of a good bunkhouse at Sligachan which is central on the island.

Ben Nevis route is basically circumnavigation of the Ben, Mamores, Grey Corries approx 60km over varied terrain (think Blackmount/Glen Etive :twisted: ) but can be done in a day, with something else or R&R the following day. Decent bunkhouse accommodation nearby.

Preferences?

Did I post this before?

Warning - Nevis route could be a tall order unless midsummer due to potentially SERIOUS river crossing and daylight etc.

Mr P looking at the Skye pics the memories came flooding back, it looks bloody EPIC!

And the Ben ones remind me of our CtC ride (not a bad thing)

I voted Ben Nevis because I desperately want to go to Skye, but all big rides are off till the summer

Also voting for bunkhouse because the smell of 10 manky retrobikers in the morning smells like... victory.
