singlespeed hubs

I have recently had my C16-R return from Argos with tracks ends

Now for the wheels and I wanted some advise on hubs?

Any recommendations?

DMR? Atomz? Viz?

My fixie road bikes use formula hubs and I was also wondering if these
types of hub would work as well?

I ran a formula fixed hub on an MTB for a while, it worked fine but the chain-line will be a bit closer to center than an MTB specific SS hub. Depends how big a tyre you're running & what chainring. I'm planning to try that hub with a freewheel on, don't hold your breath though!

Will you be running fixed/fixed, fixed/free or just free? And what is the spacing? On One do a double fixed in 135 - no real problem in screwing a freewheel on a fixed threading IMO/E. And On Ones usually reckoned one of the better budget hubs. If a s/s only then personally I prefer a standard cassette hub - much easier to set up a good chainline.

Hope singlespeed/trials hub.

It's just like a normal cassette hub but with a narrower freehub body.
You can fine tune the chainline with the spacers.

Agree with the Hope...nice hub with the advantage of flexability of chainline over screw-on freewheel type hubs. If you wanted screw-on freewheel type...Paul Words are the way to go...beautiful and light.

DMR 6-pawl hubs are durable but a bit expensive (£125 for the hub and then £30 for the SS cassette body). The good thing with these hubs is that you can convert them from 9 speed cassette to SS cassette to 1 piece driver and back again. This means that if you want to put the hub on your ATB and then add gears later on you only have to swap cassette bodies.
