Simplex Grand Prix rear mech questions

I am looking at fitting one of these to a rebuild .

1/ as I understand it they are for a 3 speed derailleur set up at the back ?
2/ A tension spring is required ? I may have one .
3/ I am limited to what type of front lever I can use .Double goes with saying as hoping to use a double chain wheel set up . ie can I use a 1960,s type . Earlier doubles are a stupid price .

Has any one on the forum set one up ? Any pit falls found .

I have the clamp to fit onto the frame that carries the mech .

Any info please . I have seen a catalogue in pdf form on the net .

From what I have read on french forums, the Grand Prix Dural was for 3 speeds.
Users have tried to accomodate more cogs but not always successfully
A later version the Grand Tourisme , could accomodate up to 5 cogs but it is not the same ! even if it looks apparently nearly identical
