finally my new bike is ready from Condor cycles in london. it was another cycle to work scheme bike, i hadn't got a singlespeed/fixie type bike and i thought i'd try one. i ordered it back in november but me being me the off the peg model didn't do it for me so the frame was built as standard by condors italian frame builders then painted as i wanted. the paint scheme was basically off another model they do called the fratello i think, it's just a simple classic style paint job, nothing flash just subtle.

when i picked it up i thought it looked a little small but the next size up would have been too big at as it was a 55cm frame with a very long toptube. i rode it out of the shop and immediatley felt too low at the front end so within a 100yds i stopped and flipped the stem up the other way, which then made it feel spot on, bummer though really as i hate seeing stems up this way on a road bike but the fit is more imortant than the look.

once i got that sorted i thought i'd have a spin around the capital, i love riding in london, i know i shouldn't as it can be very dangerous but i love it, it's like a giant obstical course to me. :D i stopped at various places of interest just for fun a got a couple of pics.

hope you like! :D

Great pics, but the thought of going to London really doesnt appeal to me in the slightest

Been many a time for courses and meetings, and the whole 'out of my way, I'm in a hurry' of people on the tube just does my head in :x

id often though of a mini cycling break around there.

but i dont venture that far down the country much, only a handfull of times and each time, bypass the city for traffic reasons.

still need to get myself down there one day.

i know what you mean but i only nip up there every once in a while for a few beers with friends or whatever but i have noticed this aswel, there are 2 speeds, tourist amble and office lightspeed!! no apologies either!! miserable gits!!

Wow, that's the weirdest pig I ever did see,

And why is there a 'car' missing at the 11 O'clock position on the eye??

Unlike you miserable bloody lot, I love London :P :P it's a fascinating place from whichever way you look at it.

There is no Citrus connection  New bike looks great btw 8)

Loving the Sheepig

You were brave riding in London, I am in London usually 3 times a week and pass all those places in the car, I havnt spotted a RB shirt yet

You have to hand it to Londoners, I find it the best place for Retro spotting, I see all kinds of retro mtb's being ridden and chained up just as general bikes.

Glad you enjoyed the day out

London may be many things, but never boring and so many things to see
Born there and lived/worked there for forty years, still things I haven't seen

Can see why people find it too hectic, but worth persevering to see one of the worlds great cities.
If you find the tube too much, use the bus or walk, early morning is a good time to get out and about especially for photo taking
