Shogun by Middleburn

I've seen a few auctions on eBay.de for Shogun branded cranks made by Middleburn, and other Shogun-branded parts. They generally look to be good quality, and fetch good prices. Can anyone tell me more about Shogun, and particularly more about their relationship with Middleburn?

Saw those on Ebay too. I've got a front hub by Shogun that looks vaguely Ringle-esque. I thought it was just a cheap rip off! Fetch good prices you say? (Strokes beard and wonders.... )
Can't help with the Middleburn link I'm afraid, save to say that these ones are early ones - RS1 or 2

Don't know the connection either, but i do like the cranks very retro kitsch. Cool.
