Shimano HP-6400 (Ultegra 600) headset, FRENCH THREAD!

Can anyone confirm if shimano ever made the HP-6400 ultegra 600 headset with french thread?

Not according to velobase, don't know how accurate it is though!

Velobase don't list french threaded as an option, but there is one on ebay right now, and I'm 99% certain the one I have is french threaded after comparing it with another headset.

Yes they did. French thread was an option on Shimano headsets until the early nineties. The 6400, 7400, and even the 1055 were available in French threading.

If you look closely at the item for sale on eBay, you can see "M25 x P1" printed on the box.

Thanks for confirming that Jim! I used to think velobase was pretty accurate, but this bike is changing my opinion on that!
