Hi, rebuilding an 80's road bike with a shimano dura ace ax group set and wondered where I can find copies of the user manuals particularly for the rear mech and front mech set up & adjustment

Good luck finding brake pads for those funky centre pulls.

I had to cut down and Dremel a slot into some standard cartridge pads for the retaining nut. It's doable but a bit of a 'cludge'.

Mine are AX Adamo brakes, I think they take the same size brake pad.

the brake pads look fairly new - I'll try not to do too much braking !

30 year old pads are more than likely brick hard and well past their use by date.
Be careful!

I've got the original blocks in my 600 AX brakes and just as good as if they was made yesterday.

Trouble with the blocks is they wore out damn quickly and back in the day you just
couldn't get replacement blocks from Middlemores of Coventry.

There's a seller on ebay who still sells these AX blocks once in a while.
