They are running some night stages this year! I'll be there to see my old car and mate. Understand the last stage of the day is going to be run at 7pm? It'll be cold but fun!

A round of the Northern Historic Championship too. That said, most of the championship regulars broke or crashed their cars on last weekends RAC.

Has a decent entry list. It may be a little harsh for those further down the field! Weather is suposed to be bad this weekend meaning all the 4 wheel drives will rut everything up (as always in the sand of Pines). We bent a drive shaft 5yrs ago when the weather was bad. 1st few runs should be fun for the rear wheel drives. Jimi Mcrae is due out in his 911 and Steven Perez in his Stratos.

I think Jimmy was out in Prepfabs 911 but Lepley broke it at the weekend. I know at least three of the historic crews wont be out at the weekend, the chevette and Ascona both have blown engines and one of the escorts on the list rolled out and probably won't make it.

I like the stages down there, finished top 15 on the Dukeries many years ago. Should be doing this event next year if the new car survives the RAC.

You know Jason? (guess everyone does?) He drinks in my boozer. What are you building? Dukeries is the better event. Good time of year for the weather which makes for fast flowing stages. Last time i spoke to Jason he'd just set up a new business and Jimi had dinted the car in Scotland... Its always good watching his brother in his bonkers Mk2 around Pines! A flyer! Understood Andy Burton may make an appearance in his 306??? Now that thing is crazy!

I'm building a Safari spec 67 Volvo 144 for gravel and working on a deal for the ex-works Clan Crusader for tarmac. Not seen Jason or Richard for years now.
Burtons Pug is my favourite rallycar of the last 20 years. Loved his old Alfa Ferarri Sprint too which I have been trying to buy for the last 10 years but he won't let it go :cry:

Don't know andy but do know his brother! He was running a mk2 with a mazda lump in! Flyer! Agreed his 306 is a absolute joy to behold! Drives it well to!
