Something nice like XTR M900 and control tech, but also open to WHY. Budget is modest but reasonable. Condition should be good, NOS is likely to be too pricey.

I am also interested in a set of BR-M734 cantilevers in black. Used by good condition is ideal. NOS likely to much for budget and would look out of sorts on the bike. I have a line on 732s NOS, but the price is high and if I was going to spend that kind of money it would have to be for 734s.

I am going to sell the following if anyone is interested once I find a suitable alternatives as above.

BR-MT60 silver canti set (can throw in cosmetically poor 733 brake levers)
Set of Curve (KONA) silver cantilevers missing some cable hardware
Set of NOS Vanguard Lizard cantilevers.
Pair of black 986 cantilevers. All there, cosmetically only fair. one wheel.
Black LX cantilevers set.

I have a set of xt cantilever brakes with brake booster.
Let me know if they are what you would like.

Thanks, I require black. I know it is confusing as the title says silver or red.

I want brakes for two builds. one requires black 734s and the other requires something in silver or red. XTR at a minimum if it is shimano, but considering other brands like Paul, Machine Tech, Critical Racing, Control Tech etc... No shimano, dia-compe, ritchey or other more common and visually uninteresting brakes. The idea and feel of the bike is to be mid 1990s top technology in all it's misguided machined glory. Though I realize M900 is forged and goes against that grain but I would pair them with chill pills and it will match the derailleurs so it would be acceptable in that regard.
