Seat clamp size 95 Rocky Mtn Blizzard - 26.8 post

Hi all,

Anyone here happen to know the seat clamp size I would need for a 1995 Rocky Mountain Blizzard. It has a 26.8 seatpost.

Cheers!

doesn't have the 95 blizzard that special clamp, because the seattube is not straight ? At least the 95 blizzard I have used to have it. Also mine accept a 27,0 post.

Hmm seat tube looks pretty straight to me, but I know the sloping top of the seat tube you are talking about. I am guessing at the age being 1995, it might be a 96 or something? I think they changed from 26.8 to 27.2 somewhere around that time.

nice bike you have :)

my 95 blizzard is made of Tange Custom Prestige tubes in midnight black.
Yours is made of Tange Ultimate, and yes no sloping on the top of the seattube. :?

Cant date your bike, and have no idea what size you need for the seatclamp, sorry.

There a lot of RM specialists here, they can help you for sure - had been a great help with my seatpost problem :D

cheers.

That's a '94, I've got a both '94 and '95 Blizzards!

The '94 also had a sloping seatpost clamp - mine has anyway, as seen here. Maybe someone has leveled it off to fit non-standard clamps? I'll measure mine when I get a spare 5 mins...

Blizzards rule!! :P

Hmm, your 94 definitely matches the paint and braze-ons. Looks a fair bit different to my Blizzard, but that might just be the frame size. The head tube on mine is super long for one thing...

I guess someone could have cut the seat tube level, but if they have, they made a good job of it.

I only bought it as a frame and fork. The fork is OEM and painted the colour it is, I was assuming it was the original fork. As far as I can figure out the fork is a 95 and so that is why I was thinking the bike was a 95... but this assumption could be wrong!
