Prestige

It's definitely a Prestige - Clockworks of that year had a green rather than purple fade.

If you search for Prestige on RB you'll find a couple of them with the purple to silver fade as per the pic.

Prestige

Yup, exactly the same as that one.

How come no one has the decency to flog off a whole bunch of 17" Prestiges at once? It's just rude.

I think this is almost certainly a 1993 Prestige, I've never seen a Clockwork in that colour. It isn't that earlier one, as that had orange oranges on it and was listed as a Prestieg. This owner doesn't know what it is, as the top tube decals are completely gone (and if he knew it was a Prestige, he wouldn't say the tubes were Reynolds!) I still think it's a size 19, as I think the 21 has a longer gap between the top and down tubes than that.

The only thing that's odd for me is that my 1996 C16R frame in size 19 weighs slightly less than this, even though this frame should in theory be made of Tange Prestige Ultimate Superlight and the C16R is made with generic non-heat-treated tubes. I did take the weight of the C16 a good while ago though, I suppose that scale could have been faulty?
