I know Saracen did some interesting Special / Limited editions but what the hell is this one :? unidentified retro object Im guessing an Andes with some tasteful race modifications

Looks to have LX bits n bobs and I guess Mavic Oxygen rims with no wear :shock:

drums work a shit load better than wet cantilevers and V brakes and are on a par with discs.

Quite true skip monkey - I guess it's possible the owner had been riding off-road a fair bit in the 80's and actually knew cantis/u-brakes were rubbish in mud, hence got the best brakes available at the time, bit of a trend setter perhaps ? The bike is certainly more interesting and maybe worth more in its current build
