San Diego, 1981

Here's a pic from a 1981 ride in San Diego County, California. This shot was taken from the top of a mining road above the tiny town of Banner, several mile east of Julian in the Laguna Mountains. Photo taken at approximately lat. 33.050175, lon. -116.538216. I invited the folks from up north in Orange County and LA. I've forgotten most of their names, but you'll notice Victor Vincente of America second from right in the lineup, unusually riding a 26-incher instead of one of his 20" Topanga bikes. On the left are Hugh and Jean Johnson (San Diego), riding Murrays and sporting camouflage, which they thought would make it harder for back-country target shooters to draw a bead on them. The girl with the black Skid-Lid helmet is Mary Farnsworth, and Neil Motter is reclining: both San Diego AYH Competition Club juniors. Craig Simpson wears the checked shirt in back. Can anyone identify the remaining Orange County visitors?

Sorry I can't help with the IDs but I s-o-o-o wish that I had been part of the off-road scene in it's infancy.
