Saddle for a late 80s Specialized?

My -89 Specialized Rockhopper Comp needs a saddle. According to the cataloque the original saddle was a "Specialized ATB" but I've had no luck finding one. There's one that looks like it on ebay in the US right now but it's in pretty bad shape and costs a lot shipped. It looks like it isn't "leather" but some sort of fabric and the padding has perished from underneath.

Do you think that could be restored? Remove the fabric, add some cushioning and re-attach the cover?

Stumpjumpers of the same vintage came with Turbos so that would be an easy option but are there other saddles easily optainable that would be period correct?

Pics borrowed from the ebay listing:

Is that really its original upholstery? looks like a rain cover for the suede versions....either way, it doesnt look like a good buy..

Re:

Theres also a pic which shows the underside and that indeed is the original upholstery. I wonder what has happened to the padding.

Yeah I'm not too keen on buying that. With shipping it would be the most expensive purchase of my project. And that includes the whole bike...

I had an '89 Stumpjumper with the original seat. It had standard vinyl covering with the logo on the back in white.
