Sad news to bring you

Our fifteen year old spaniel Toby has become very frail and he is due to be put to sleep on Thursday.

Thought I would warn you in good time as I may be a bit stranger than normal. He will be missed so much it hurts me to think of a time without him.

Sorry to depress you all.

As will the dog hairs, my dog has been gone 5 years and I've moved house. I'm still finding dog hairs now.

My two (brother and sister) fourteen year old Golden Retrievers passed away within a few weeks of each other last year. Heartbroken, empty feeling, grown man crying might seem a bit strange to non animal lovers.

I empathise and feel your pain but our family vet gave me some good advice "a minute too early is better than an hour too late" Try Googling Rainbow Bridge it might give you some comfort. Tears will flow, but tears are good, get them out don't keep them in.

Awful decision to have to make but life does go on, and it truly is a circle. The loss remains and the pain, though unbearable at first will get less. Thursday is going to be a hard day to get through, but you will get through it and the memories will remain.

I feel for you dude, you may remember i had to have both of mine put to sleep within 4 months of each other last year :cry: :cry:

The whole family made a decision that we were going to be dog free for a bit afterwards, lasted about 3 weeks
