Rust treatment/prevention? - From local shop?

Picked up a steel '94 S-works the other day :D stripping it out to check everything and clean it up - looks like it's been sitting in a shed for years, cobwebs and dust - BB came out easy but there's a bit of surface rust on the shell, so I'm wondering what I can buy locally to spray or put into the chain/seat stays to treat and prevent any corrosion that might be in there? WD40 might be ok, but don't think this will be ideal, need something thicker maybe and would prefer something that might treat it too?

Any ideas or recommendations, don't really want to mail order something as I'd like to sort it out this weekend, anything you can get from local b&q, motor factors, etc?

Cheers :?:

rust prevention/treatment

You can get frame-saver spray from argos cycles. I think it reacts with any rust that's already there and prevents any further rust.

Mmm, I know, trouble is I want to go out in my polluting car and get something tonight or tomorrow - if I mail order it, it probably won't come til next week?

:)

I've used waxoyl spray, should get it in most autoshops. Comes in a can with a tube( like wd40) and you can blast it into any holes in the frame. Keep turning the frame and spray away. Now I'm sure I read about it, it could just have been another of my dubious brain waves :? also used regular car wax for the paint work.
