I think we're being unfair here, 'if you can fix a bike....' but he was ABOUT to fix the bike (specifically the bad crank placement) when he noticed a ladybird on a rear spoke, so if you notice, he is steadying the wheel by the tyre, whilst encouraging ladybird onto aforementioned 17mm spanner, so he can take it away to a place of safety....

As an ex RN aircraft engineer its reasons like that that made me glad I was surplus to requirements and free from being tar'd with the dumb ass brush.
