Roof rack advice please.

On a serious note you could use a heavy duty chain and lock, sleeve the chain in a old inner tube and cable tie to the rack obviously put it round the roof bar, rear triangle and as well cable tie the d of the lock to the bar keeps it off the roof and will take more than a pair of wire cutters to get through it

I use a couple of Thule Proride 591s and they are perfectly safe with carbon frames (I use a carbon tarmac).But despite having locks on them I still wouldn't risk leaving any bike on them baring filling the car up so within watching distance as it's just not worth the hassle.

oh, and if you do go with a roof rack try to remember its there when you drive into car parks with height barriers, its embarrising if nothing else :facepalm:

.... and don't forget about your own carport or garage :shock: (not me, happened to someone I know)
