Didn't they have bolt-on crowns plus the lowers were straight, so you could opt to reverse the lowers if you wanted backwards-facing brakes a la Pace?

Deb Murrel did the same with the Rock Shox Mag 20's on her Formula 1.

I thought about it because of the horrendous independent leg movement that the suffered from. Half your lever travel and effort went into spreading the canti studs until I fitted a booster. The Pace idea was that the wheel running between the bolcks would try and help pull the canti studs together.

I remember the old quadra 21r and the mag 21 that I had used a straight brace....?

Yes you're right there, it looks like the brace in the pic in the Rocky catalogue wouldn't have fitted backwards because the cable hanger would have snagged the down tube (and it was black to match the crown)

It's basically a nice frame that he's selling though. I'm pretty sure it's a 1993 and quite a large size. I'll be riding a 1993 Equipe just like it (except a bit smaller) in the RB Sussex Downs ride out of Arundel tomorrow morning.
