holy moly! back in 1990, two of my best mates, damian & richard lewis had those bikes! rich had the summit, & damian had the cirrus. they were both kept in imaculate condition, & orginal spec, execpt rich fitted 1st gen maggy rim brakes & RS1's, because his dropouts unglued from his syncros forks in the middle of nowhere! damian's cirrus got nicked in merther tdyfill in wales about 1992ish.

Blimey! remember Damians Cirrus from school, didn't it get repainted purple? Last time I saw Richard he was lugging a beautiful Dave Yates onto the train in Thatcham

There used to be some great bikes round here in the nineties, I remember at least one Turner Burner, a S-Works FSR and a Colella (sp?), Louis Colellas dad is our ice cream man too!!!

hell yeah, i remmember them all. it does feel like newbury & thatcham were a hotspot for poshbikes in those days!

the colella bike belong to one of our shop regulars, cant remember who though..cant belive he's selling ice cream!

There did seem to be quite a bit of exotica around!

I remember feeling like the odd one out with my Bontrager when everyone else was riding GT LTS/RTS's or Giant ATX990's
