Rocky Mountain Blizzard 1990

I’ve been looking for one of these for a while.

I saw one advertised on Facebook and managed to convince the owner in Canada to post it to me. it’s actually had quite a journey as it’s been to Canada and back twice as Parcelforce messed up royally the first time. Anyway she’s here now.

this will be my rider bike. the frame has seen some action but that’s fine because I intend to ride it and enjoy it.
it’s an 18.5 inch frame.

I’ll keep the build close to the original spec but with some variation. I’ve got a few parts that I can transfer from my previous Rocky Mountain Cirrus and a MK1 Pace fork to substitute for the powerlite.

Beautiful frame, I hope you are going to try to save that old bike shop sticker, I love those things, feel they're an important part of the bike's history

*must admit: when I saw the thumbnail of that last picture, catalog text was obscured and I thought you got the Syncros fork with it. I was about to go off about not replacing that as well!

If I had a powerlite it would be staying on the bike. But unfortunately I don’t

Not quite the build I had in mind to start with but close. I went for the Tange struts in the end as per the 1992 Blizzard and I like them.

Full build spec and photos to follow.

She’s no angel to look at but she’s a demon to ride.
