Rock shox Sid hydra creaking under braking

my forks (the red ones ) have started to creak under braking and sometimes when standing out the saddle.

The have done about 500 miles max as the guy I had them off hardly ever used his bike .

Thought it was the headset so fitted a brand new onza mongo 3 , still the same , thougt my frame was cracked so fitted some nos rest forks that I bought for another project and all is quiet now.

So it concludes its the fork.

I've been on Google and no real answers , I don't want to sell them as they are wicked and uber light.

If anyone has any ideas then please fire away.

My front end is doing the same and im now starting to think it might be my SID's from the noughties...

A service is what mine definitely need.

But at £100plus (what ive been quoted) i would be better of getting new forks...

I've followed the same steps as you...

New headset, stem, bars, grips etc

Although did have a big crash on Friday which has made it worse...

So disassembled and then reassembled, checked for failures and cracks. Still there...

Gotta be a fork issue...

Im thinking right fork in particular or one of the big nuts under air valve is loose...

Put some pressure on the legs last night and they both have off the same creak / crack noise

I am thinking it could be the legs in the crown as they are bonded in !
