Got your PM so searched for you thread.
I gather everything works.
A quick look over my forks suggests that they are in good condition and the seals look ok too. However when I sit on the bike they sag.
I realise that they need to be pumped up, what pressure do I need? I'm 'heavier than I was when I were young' stone.
Does the oil need replacing to suit my new bulk?
Where can I get this done ?
Pump them up, it is going to be the first test you have to do.
If you don't have a proper pump, get a decent football/basket ball needle (<2mm iirc, must actually check some day. Preferably with only a hole in the end and no sharp adges).
Lube the needle up, clean the air hole part and push it in gently.
Pump up to 60/100 PSI whatever the pump can do. It'll easily take that.
No air should come out.
They work around 40PSI, see the service manual.
As for oil, might as well give them an oil change if they are fine and set them all up to your weight.
I could explain but I think the manuals explain it ok and they give you the best standard setups.
Stick a picture up and I can tell you which year/model they are.
You have long travel in the title?
