Rock Shox Judy SL & Quadra R21??

Hello. Is there anyone who can explain the difference between these two forks? I've just bought both to two projects i am up to my neck in at the moment. How do Rock Shox compare to other makes from the 90's? Is there something i should avoid or search for in the future in the form of an upgrade/improvement? All comments/tips are welcome. What i know about suspension forks could be written on the back of a stamp. I've probably already handled this thing with forks the wrong way around but you only live once,(i've been told by an aethiest) & sometimes you just have strike while the iron is hot. Otherwise shit or nothing happens.

Judy is the high end fork range, Indy is the budget fork range

Judy SL being the top fork of the Judy
Quadra 21R being the top Quadra fork.

Judy is stiffer and has oil damping. Indy 21R has a friction damper and doesn't work as well.

both share the same 'spring' setup.

Judy SL were twice the price of Quadra 21R forks.
