Roberts D.O.G.S.B.O.L.X. PAINT JOB / PARTS FOR IT

I'm new to this site so Hello
I currently have in bits a Roberts D.O.G.B.O.L.X. from the late end of 1995.

I was lucky to get this bike from the bay last year, however its in bits now and have deciding to have her resprayed from its red colour
Unfortunately Chris Roberts is on a long holiday and the shop is shut. So the question is, who shall I send the frame to for the strip to metal and respray.
I have looked over the web and looked over colour schemes, from the STD but great looking white and black to some all out craZy mix. So if you had the frame what colour schemes would you go for. I do have a colour in mind.

Second part is all about the parts, it currently has Shimano M900 all round some in good condition some not. I would like to keep it to the 1995 parts but what else was out there. If you could go back in time and money was not a problem then what would you ask to be placed on to your new BOLX?

I also have a DB waiting for a refurb and I think I am going to get Argos in Bristol to do mine (see link in my signature) in the classic white and black.

They have done two great returns for me so far, the Donkis nob and the Lloyd 753 and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Please don't send it to Colour-tech who normally do all of Roberts paintwork as they are rubbish :?

For my DB I am going to replicate the Justin Loretz row bike which you can also see in my build thread. It is a mix of Campagnolo Record and Shimano parts. I have most of the parts so I'm just waiting for the frame to be painted.

Thanks for the advice, have you been quoted for the repaint from Argos ? could you give me an idea please. will it come back with all the stickers ect

have been looking around for M900 bits so in the market if any really good stuff is around.

Not sure how much yet. I'm waiting for a price. They have all the decals (as far as I am aware) depending on what colour you want. If they don't Gil on the forum is the go to man for all things decal.

Have a look on the Argos website and it'll give prices on there.

What colour did you go for? Did Argos do the decals too?

I'm real curious to see how well the paint finish is and even more curious regards your colour choice and although i'm bound to be wrong my guess is you've had it painted a very nice shade of red ..
