Not sure the year is right with that headbadge, but its a really nice looking bike

I think this is one of his off road expedition bikes, he was making these before he started making out and out MTB's, probably where he gained all his wisdom re strength, lightness and agility. I had a tab open earlier with one that looked very much like this being ridden across North Africa. Very nice.

Very similar to one of mine but this only has one set of bottle mounts, plus it doesnt have front rack mounts.....bit unexpeditionlike

If its 84, its had major kit upgrade around the late 80s early 90s, judging by the xc pro, mavic rims, flex stem, pedals etc.
