Old School Grand Master
All right, you lucky people; here you have a once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase a rare-as -hens'-teeth example of the most succesful XC race bike in history. Ride it and you'll see why; scorching acceleration, fluid handling, and goatlike climbing ability, and being fillet brazed (by Tom himself), in Ritchey Logic Supertubing, it's comfy too.
There's the usual chainstay damage, with one pinhole, but other than this the frame has no dents or dings, appears to be solid, and is arrow straight. The paintwork has been touched up, not too badly, but the frame would be stunning if resprayed. The chainsuck area has been stripped back to bare metal, and soundly beaten with a broomhandle to extract confessions of rust, but nothing untoward materialised; no crunching, flaking, or rattles of internal rot.
The components ar mostly Ritchey Logic or XT, the exceptions being the wheels (nukeproof/mavic231/DTdb), Sachs block(extremely fresh), and kalloy uno post.
I was going to keep this forever, but impending surgery and 3months with my feet up demand a sale.
All I'm asking is £650 +postage, but feel free to make me an offer.
More pics later.
Ta, Nick
