Hey Guys,

Found this one a few months back. It was in very original condition only the seat was changed to a grandma seat and it was mounted with some semi slick schwalbe's.. Condition wise it's a bit double as the bike been barely used. However it was badly stored and has alot of paint chips and surface rust on those spots.. Nothing to extreme but with a paintjob this nice it regretable  The owners bought it in a famous bikeshop around Antwerp. The story they told me was that a rich hairdresser ordered it at the shop but eventually bought something even more exotic.. So the owners bought it with a discount and never used it for real mountainbiking i understood. Nice townbike but i'll take it in the woods!

Still not sure if it's a 93 or 94 maybe sombody on here could help with this?

I already sourced a more fitting ritchey seat, Thanks to raidan73 for that! Tires are the only ones I had laying around at the moment. Service wise I had to take off the original very light ritchey bottom bracket as it was unserviceable. Fitted a shimano BB. Will probably keep it mounted as second hand ritchey ones are hard to find..

I will be looking for a fitting ritchey stem and maybe also ritchey bars as i may use the syncros on another build. Not a big fan of the flex these softride stem have. If anybody has a forcelite stem and prolite handlebars please send me a pm!

Here are the pictures (sorry there alot, and some more on the flickr account.)

Re:

Lovely bike, I hope you have many happy hours riding it 8)

The team used those stems when racing bitd.
Look up oldmountainbikes, there you will be able to cross reference the frame number with the ones on there

Re:

Gorgeous... and so right with that stem.

Are you going to make sure the stem stays with that bike even though you are going to swap it out? It would be a real shame to see the stem and bike separated.

Re:

Love these. Just a brilliant piece of no nonsense bike design that looks so pretty. Bet they are amazing to ride. 8)

Thanks all,

With now looking at the serial code I believe it's a 1993 P21. I already visited the site but missed the framenumbers from the bikes on there.. Thanks for the tip!

I also like how bulky the stem is in contrast with the elegant frame and will keep it with the bike for sure! Definitely with the history of these being mounted on the team bikes.

Will post a riding picture soon!

Re:

Look up 7P39, or 8P85 in the bike listings. The frames look the same as yours.
I like the first of those two, modernized but subtle and purposeful.
Goddam it, I want to get my P22 refinished now!
Let me know if you do decide to get rid of the stem

Re:

You have arguably the best mountainbike ever produced and in such good original condition. As stated earlier the Allsop stem is integral to its character.Does it have Hugi hubs?

Re:

Fantastic, one of the bikes I lusted after back in the day, would love to finally ride one sometime.
A classic frame :D
