Because its a not a super eight hub...

See the instruction sheet that's pictured?

The one that came with I from ringle and says 439 on it?

Now read the thing, does the instruction sheet from ringle say super eight on it?

I think ringle know what their hubs are a bit better than you do.

This is the problem with retro bike, too many know it alls.

Sorry but its true, the instructions say 439 and not super eight but in your initial advert text and Subject text says Super eight Ringle.

I dont know very well the difference on both if theres is some but you got me confused its instructions saying 439 and the text saying super eight!

It was as Advertised on here as a super eight when I bought it.

Only difference I know is ringle text is in italic.

They look the same, and all the super eight hubs I have had in 22 years of biking have had 439 instructions and look identical.

Andrew.

The instruction sheet says Super Duper 8 not Super 8.

I'd say yours is a later Duper from post Sun buy out, and the font of the text says late (probably from the Bike Wagon blow-out of these-I bought a couple from them and they are nice!).

Nick has loads of really cool stuffabou these hubs here: http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=53016[/img]
