Yep 231 cd's are ceramic. I bought a pair of 32 hole nos from my lbs for £8 3 months ago

I don't often get that sort of luck

Correction on the 231 CD assumption
Mavic 231- 23mm, very early nineties, silver ano
231CD- black hard ano
231 ceramic, ceramic coating on the silver rim.

231 was the early 90's specific MTB top end XC rim. replaced by the X117 in 1995

those rock wcs in blue sound cool tho'

yep 231 in silver or CD available with/without ceramic - had them in silver on M900 when they first came out. Great rims - till I punctured in a race after a week, dinged the rim and cracked all the ceramic coating. doh!!! :evil: :evil:
Sunset 217s were a bit later, about 95 I think.

There were many rims in black early nineties - the Energy M7 Mavs were black and these were late 80s IIRC. Campy etc black too.
