Got a roadie ride with mates planned for Sunday morning, early start 8.00am :o but, still have the remains of a cold I've had since waaaay before Christmas. Can't seem to completely shake it off.

So riding in cold/damp conditions a good or bad idead?

Sorry if this is a numpty question

drink plenty of water and sweat it out.

I attended the Peaks meet with swine flu

got 7 miles in and had to quit, slept in the BB some 6 hours and rejoined the lads for beer and crap food later. woke up next day and ate 3 breakfasts and felt like new -ish.

I had a cold that just wouldn't bugger off late last year. Had a ride out with chums even though I didn't feel like it and the next day I felt much better. :D

Cheers guys :) Looks like I'll be riding the black top tomorrow...

Plus - my new roadie overshoes have just landed, in the nick of time

Had very bad cold/ cough over xmas could not ride for nine days felt that rough. went for a ride the sunday before the new year bank holiday and the muscle in my left calf went rock hard took no notice went to bed that night woke up with a leg twice the size of the other one went to the hospital and they told me i have DVT. on rat poisen now to thin my blood hurts if i walk up any kind of hill. BUT...... went for ride yesterday just to see and.. it's no problem. hurts more to walk... so i'm happy....kind of.....
