Just been for a stroll around the park with t'other half, wondering if it's OK to ride off the beaten path as it were there. Does anyone know?

No you can't - that bit that looks nice up the hill is off limits. You can get away by riding on the verge of the main road through but that's it...

there's plenty of other riding around there though - I go quite often with my mate who lives in Sileby - Swithland woods are good!

Swithland woods were my stomping (cranking?) grounds as a boy, it was a 15 mile ride from my house, but worth it, theres some good stuff (although I havent ridden there since 1997!)

We once climbed over the wall to Bradgate park after dark and rode around in the moonlight for a few hours, then camped in a wood, I (for some reason) became completely paranoid and spent the entire night shining my torch into the empty wood. Good times.

it was more

run around a skills park and spend a few hours trying to make any kind of fire even when the entire box of matches was lit

are there any signs saying its forbidden to cycle there ? id have a sneaky ride anyway

Signs on the main gate saying do not cycle - plenty of people cycling on the main 'drive' by the water area. Just not up on the fields, some of the tracks there look a complete blast for riding down from Old John or whatever the Nabb there is called!
