Reynolds 531 Competition Frame/Forks

Dirt Disciple
I am considering selling this frame as I have a matching pair and only two legs. It has a number of small scratches in the paint work but you cannot tell from a distance. It is otherwise in perfect order.

I would like to gauge interest first, so haven't bothered with pictures yet, but if anyone is interested please give me a shout and I will arrange some.

I would be eager to hear if anyone wants to consider swapping it for something else. I'm looking for a strong track frame or shiny Campag hardware, especially if it is 90's.

Cheers,

Si

Sorry, yes. A bit too vague maybe.

54cm. The colours are (from bottom up) metallic blue, fade to solid yellow, fade to solid red, forks match the frame. 68mm BB, 125mm dropouts. 2 sets of water bottle lugs, a little pump fixing nobble at the front (so a pump fixes parallel with the cross bar), brake attachments are modern allen key style, that little attachment for the rear deraillieur (excuse my lack of knowing what things are called) is part of the frame, cable guides for rear brake cable, front and rear gear cables below the BB and for the rear derallieur cable towards the back axle, and last of all, will fit 700 wheels.

Cheers,

Si

That'll be 126mm dropouts...

Might be interested - any idea what make it is etc? Is 54 c-c or c-t?

It is 54cm the seat-tube, c-t.

C-c is no more that 2cm shorter.

Top tube c-c is 55.5cm.

I'm not sure of the history of the frame, I recently bought two identical frames from the loft of a small shop in Buckinghamshire, with the intention of building both up. Money is deciding otherwise. No manufacturers mark, just the 531 Competition decals.

You can check out the pictures of the pair immediately after I bought them on this thread...
