Thought I'd share some pics of my recently acquired Orange Prestige. It's a 21 inch so hoping it fits me better than the 19 inch ones I've had in the past. My back still wishes the head tube was longer.

It's a work in progress. The Nitto bars are an experiment and I'm not sure I like the look.

Since I took ownership it's been stripped to bare frame and built back up. It's had new decals and I've replaced the bottom bracket, stem, bars, tyres, seatpost and saddle. I've also swapped the shifters from Deore DX to Suntour XC Pro as I prefer them.

The Maxxis Tyres may have been a mistake but there's not much choice in 26 tan wall these days...

I had a satin black Orange Prestige with Ritchey tubing as a teenager so this one is nostalgic for me.

if i may suggest, dia comp 986 brakes would compliment nicely the ss5 levers. Since we are talking brakes why use a brake cable stop on the headset when that t bone stem has a go through stop?

why use a brake cable stop on the headset when that t bone stem has a go through stop?

Basically I added the stem afterwards and the cable was too short. I intend to correct it and I need to change the headset as it's missing dust seals.

I'll give the brakes some thought. Dia-compe do some nice anodized ones 👍

Interesting....the head tube on my one is 160mm. Its 21" c to t . But then mines a 91......maybe they changed it for the new fangled suspension at 410mm rather than 390mm rigid?

89/90 Orange's had 20mm shorter head tubes compared to the 91/2/3 frames in each comparable size. The one on my 21" 89 Clockwork is the same length as on my 19" 92.
