Retrobiker ?

Inspired by Mattbrown's thread regarding the discovery of a retrobiker in his parents village that had not heard of this website, I just have to ask what exactly is a retrobiker ?

Is it simply a person that rides an old bike, or is there more to it ?

What is the definition of a retrobiker ?

And for the fun of it, what is your definition of a retrobiker ?

OK, basic 'Am I a RetroBiker' Checklist

1, Empty bank account?

2, Wife/ Husband not getting enough attention?

3, Spend at least 5 hours a day on RB and eBay?

4, More bikes than underpants?

5, Any children named Fat Chance, Funk, DeKerf, Mustang or Orange?

6, Aching back?

7, Constant squeel of badly adjusted rim brakes in your head when you try to sleep?

8, Pile of 1991 MBUK magazines in the bathroom?

9, At least 6 RB members on speed dial on your phone?

10, Wardrobe full of lurid ill fitting lycra?

11, When walking down the street do you look at the semi naked Kylie Minogue look-a-like outside Costa Coffee or the late 80's Orange Clockwork in the bike rack?

12, Has the council made a parking bay outside your house for Parcelforce's Van?

13, Do you think 3DV handles is a good look for the new Kitchen?

14, Has a bike part ever been in your dishwasher?

15, Are you far more interested in the postman than your neglected wife?

16, Have you ever burnt a set of disc brakes in the garden, whilst shouting 'die, die, die demons'?


If you can answer yes to most of the above then you are indeed a true brother of the house of RB.
