Retrobike Sports Casuals 2 x 10 Teams Entered...!

Captains Retroking and Kawasaki took a spot of luncheon near Leek prior to riding up a few lungbusters to organiser Patrick Adams' gaff. Breathing hard, the Captains eventually made their destination, where they were warmly received by the Adams and new canine acquisition.

Over tea and biscuits the innovations for MM09 were discussed - pole dancers in the woods no less - whilst the Captains designated favourite biscuits to differentiate between the two Sports Casuals teams. From henceforth Captain Kawasaki's elite troops will compete under the 'Bourbon' moniker, whilst the ever-so-slightly down market rabble under Retroking's direction, salute the 'Kit Kat'...

Pat then gave us a tour of his eccentric acreage, including a 125,000 strong army, a large cock and a pair of Rex Trimnell forks, before we rode cheerily back down the hill to the pub.

A fine and rewarding day indeed... 8)

Impressed by the clearly larger than lifesize Patrick Adams waxwork, either that or the Ritchey (which will be mine) has shrunk.

Top work on the entries, I'll be trying, vainly, to beat both teams.......

Come on Ed - you know Pat's a larger than life character!

In my 'archive' I've got a photo of him road racing in his youth.

The very best of luck in the Solo's Ed, you have my greatest admiration for even entering!
