Retrobike PM virus??? Java advert pop over

I just sent a pm to someone and the instant I pressed send a spurious link to update Java popped up, AVG caught it but others might not be so lucky. Thought I should let you all know!

Possibly not the most useful topic title.

Just noted this a couple of minutes ago, think it is from a banner advert. If anyone can figure out which one and send details can get it blocked.

This has been happening to me all day, I thought it was me, but I don't use Java so presumably not. I use Firefox, so I don't know if it's happening with any other browser.

I saw it in Chrome, think it's occurs when you roll over a particular ad. Know some were seeing simialr on their apple devices recently.

Yep, been happening to me too, luckily my Norton has caught it. Sorry haven't been able to figure out which pop up it is! I'm also on chrome....

What does Norton indicate it is? Kaspersky does nothing here.

How annoying.

Sorry, desperately trying to find a Norton report, but not very good at this sort of thing.... :facepalm:

Keep rolling over adverts to try and make it happen again but it won't now :evil:

My AVG says it found "MalSign.Generic.FAC"
