retro long reach brake caliper recommendations?

Morning all,

I've hit a bit of an impasse with my current project, I was planning to use a set of Shimano 600 dual pivot brakes, but they are a couple of millimetres short on the maximum drop, I'm after something that will give me around 52mm of reach and won't look out of place with a mid/late 80's groupset.

Anyone got any recommendations?

Alternatively has anyone got a set of these that they'd like to sell me! :D .

Shimano Exage should do 52mm, which are like a 105 SLR caliper without the quick release or the comfy thumb-wheel adjusters. They have a little bit more drop than the higher end 105 SLR calipers but still look nice and compact. The only thing is, I'm not sure if they came in polished silver, because mine were anodised a sort of gun metal colour.

I had a pair of longer drop Shimano dual pivot stirrups on a winter bike but I can't remember which - if any - group they came from. I think they may well have been one of the lower end 'anonymous' items Shimano made but they certainly worked OK.

And they were polished Silver finish.

Thanks guys, having done a bit of research I guess I'm leaning towards the 'not exactly retro' Shimano long reach dual pivots, they seem to fit the bill. Cheers Matt
