Hi Chaps,

I notice a good few people go for the re-spray of their retro bikes, I want to know where & who does this service, pro's & cons & the cost?? Also is it possible to get the correct colours from Kona for a re-spray??

Please post any pics of your re-spray job...

This would then lead me on to asking about decals, I've seem a few go on flea bay and on here but is there anyone dedicated to producing 100% correct decals in the correct colours for the year?? not just sticker sets!

Just wondering! & thanks in advance..

JJ.

I'd be interested in this as well. My 2002 Yeti would benefit from a respray, but I'd like to know costs. I guess with a 2002/2003 I could still get the stickers from Yeti.

For best results , you can use a company like Argos cycles .
for powder coating , plenty of locals company do it , a lot cheaper , but not such a nice finish .

So its looking like 200+ once you have shipped back and forth.. not to bad but this would then mean all other parts on the bike would have to be new looking!!! ;)

Much more fun to go out and ride old bikes than fix them up and try and make them perfect...

In my opinion anyway

Local powdercoat about £35. Good job, looks like new. s local, no postage too. Easy and cheap :)
Harder wearing than enamel/wet, but may not be as good at protecting the metal (as people who know more than me suggest).

Decals from Gil on here are great. Gil_m username.
Has a lot of common artwork, or can make it up for you.
