Just as an aside.....how old are these "doctors".....21 and nothing else to do probably....a few years ago some "doctors" spent 30,000 of uni money finding out the best temperature to eat a mars bar........you take much stock in this "study" then

In professional academic circles, funding exists for all manner of weird and wonder full research projects, and quite often, that funding is donated by industry, who then glean what is useful to them. Also, I believe there is a tax break in it somewhere, by donating funds to education. If the money exists, why not use it for what it was intended, research.
