Restoring my vintage falcon road bike

Its not been an easy task getting the right bits and bobs in restoring my old falcon phaser! Not only can i not get the decals anywhere im now having difficulty choosing a wheelset for it. All the wheels I like are for 8/9 gears and my bike is a 6 speed, any ideas on how I could get around this without affecting the bike? It may seem an odd question but I am new to all this! :?

Have you considered having a set of wheels built using hubs for a screw on freewheel?

I'm currently building up a 1970's Dave Lloyd, to keep things original I found some Campag hubs from the period and some Mavic clincher rims (I didn't want to use tubs) and built them up myself (which is not hard).

Maybe that could be your way forward.
