Replacing the seat tube on a 1991 Moser Leader AX / SC

As above really. I have a Moser leader frame which I bought with a chopped up seat tube / stuck seat post which I thought our dental lab using it's tools could rescue but no :)

I was looking for something in the garage and came across it and blimey it feels quite light, the chrome is almost perfect and I thought what a waste.

It's made of Oria GM 0.0 tubing with the fluting and the factory suplied tubing comes in at less than 2KG.

The question is that the seat cluster is all brazed and wondered if it possible to have the seat tube repleced..........I'm not worried about keeping it original as it's trashed as it stands.

seat cluster is like this

Hi Ian

I thought about Chris Marshall or Kevin Sayle but didn't want to bother them. Strange thing is about the Oria frame is that the forks don't seem any lighter than the 531 chrome jobbies on my Falcon....

.

A good machine shop should be able to machine out most of the post then ream the rest...if you're close to one.

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...Cumbria, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Top of the seat tube is completely wrecked, the metal is very thin as the frame was meant to have a quill type seatpost (like a stem).

Cumbria is a bit devoid of.....well, lots of things LOL
