Ever since I've had this glorious machine I've wanted a saddle which was in the same condition as the bike,
after a few years of searching I found a chap in Belgium who restores any type of saddle, so I asked him to do
me a matching Tornado for my Raleigh, he sourced the saddle and stripped it back to bare plastic with new under
foam and blue leather suede, also new emblems put into the leather, the finish of the saddle far exceeds what the,
manufacturer did.

The saddle restorer is a little company called Koncour.cc and is located in Belgium.

What now? You're not actually going to sit on it, are you?
Yes that's a very good question and been criticised by my family for wasting money on a saddle I already have on the bike!
family members giving me grief saying if it's not broken, then why replace! The original saddle isn't too bad but is sun
bleached at the moment, I've a proper saddle cover to protect the suede, unsure how long the suede will keep it's
looks, the bike doesn't get used a great deal and only done no more than 400 miles since I've had the bike.

wow - that is awesome. issue is if you ide it, it will soon become polished and smooth. i have my Raleigh road ace 12 in my shed in NC. It really needs some love but i am unlikely to ever get around to it myself and I really would like it to go to a good home i.e. someone who ill restore it and get a lot of pleasure from it. It is such an awesome ride - such a stiff frame - you drive the pedals and the power just transfers straight to the back wheel.

I also have some additional spare parts from the Shimano 600ax range that also must not go to waste.

If you want to sell me on why you should have the bike and the parts, please send me a message.

thanks
Glyn
