Repearing bottom bracket threads?

I could get this bike, but problem is there are no threads in bottom bracket.
There has been but they have come out with bracket.
Is it somehow possible to repair?
Frame is in very good condition.

You will have to find a local frame repairers in your area,they can rebore the tube out and press a new alloy b/b shell with new threads in.

Its a pretty straightforward job for a framebuilder..

i got a quote off BOB JACKSON in Leeds (UK IM AFRAID!) to do the same

job.. Think they put a sleeve insert into the bb shell and they are

supposed to be a good, strong fix

If you aren't too bothered about branding (and need a square taper) why not try one of these?

Can't claim to know if they're any good, but it's certainly cheap enough to give it a try and the guys at SJS are usually helpful enough – unless it's an ebay purchase :?

Yes, I think so ...and there was a source on FatCogs.com a while ago. I would do a search for Stronglight or Mavic in the General forums.

If it was normal BSA threads you maybe lucky it will go with italian threads. The diameter is a big larger for Italian so you can bore these maybe with a good device.

Otherwise like said before, use a mavic BB.
