Repairing Mag 21 dropouts

Anyone know if cast magnesium can be repaired?

One of the teeth in the dropouts on my Paris Roubaix SL suspension forks (based on Mag 21) just broke off taking the wheel out.

Does anyone know if the Mag 21 lower is the same part or just almost the same? I'm wondering about buying another Mag21 fork just for the lower

Cheers
David

If it's just one of the "Lawyer Lips" that's broken off, don't worry about it, but if it's a whole half a dropout, then the leg will need replacing.

AFAIK the lowers are the same as 26" Mag21s.
It's just the brake arch (bolted on) that's specific to the Paris Roubaix, with the taller, thinner shape and the caliper brake fitting.

All the best,

It's not just the lawyer lip unfortunately.

They've probably done maybe 1500 miles in the 3 years I've had them but I got them new (or at least unused).

Just hope mag 21s don't go the same way! Is it a known weakness of these? No idea how long they've been failed as it just fell out with the wheel.

Don't really want to buy some old ones at risk of the same failure though. Might have to cannibalise my mag 21s and get something else to replace those.
