Anyone know how to remove and re-install these?

Where could i locate the plastic cable sleeves for the internal cable routing?

Cheers,
Steve.

I just bought 25m of that nylon tube.
You can buy it from places who sells pneumatic things.
They use that for compressors and things like that.

Buy the way, it cost 0,31€/m

Best to pm Carsten....
But Im pretty sure you remove the stem and then the rubber seal. This has to be picked out if its glued in with a pin. Then youve got to knock the steerer through from the top with a 2" diameter piece of steel tubing until the bearing lock breaks.
Hammer at the ready

Cheers jon.
Thats kind of what it looks like but i didn't want to go mad until i knew for sure! :)
I guess re-fitting is a reversal of removal? (in the best Haynes manual style)

I've had it for about five years but the corrosion is starting to take hold.
Thinking about refreshing with a team klein paintjob.

The tubing is standard 1/8th inch nylon tubing. Here is a reference (top item):

$25 for 30 meters. You can get it from any industrial supply house, but you do have to buy it in rolls. Your Trek dealer can order it for you for $5 for 2 feet (it's not the cost of the material but handling/shipping it etc), but see if you know anyone who has access to industrial equipment and they might be able to help you or you might contact another member of the forum who has more than they could possibly use and see if you can work something out :-)

This material is one example of something that is somewhat unique for Klein but not proprietary, so as long as we live in an industrial society, you'll be able to get some. Carsten (I shall speak for the Oracle in this case) suggests not using the complete casing rather only use it 5 cm. inside the tube on each side to reduce friction.
